Ehman, Reichelt honoured at Kwantlen athletic banquet

Langley athletes recognized for efforts for soccer, golf teams

A pair of Langley athletes were honoured at the Kwantlen Polytechnic University athletic banquet.

Kathleen Ehman, who plays on the women’s soccer team, and golfer Jesse Reichelt both earned accolades at the banquet, which was held on March 23 at the Coast Hotel and Convention Centre in Langley.

Ehman, a Langley Secondary graduate, won an academic award, while Reichelt won the golf team’s most valuable player award.

Reichelt is a Brookswood Secondary graduate.  Both are first year students at Kwantlen.

Reichelt was also competing at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s season-opening event at the King’s Link by the Sea in Delta over the weekend.

Reichelt won the boys’ 17-19 long drive competition and finished sixth in his age group with a two-round 173.

James Kim was fourth in the boys’ 14-16 age group with a two-round score of 159.
