Langley Blaze’s Josh Wray dives back to first base ahead of the throw to Vancouver Cannons’ Alex Bott. The Blaze won both ends of a doubleheader on Sunday at McLeod Park, 3-2 and 10-0.

The Langley Blaze scored runs in every inning as they hammered the visiting North Delta Blue Jays 11-1.

The victory, which came on Tuesday night at McLeod Park,  was the U18 baseball team’s eighth straight win as they improved to 15-4 in the B.C. Premier Baseball League.

The Blaze put up four runs in the first inning and that was more than enough for starting pitcher Marc Andre Habec, who allowed just one run on two hits, while striking out five in four innings of work.

At the dish, Matt Cratty drove in three runs, part of his three-hit game, while Aaron Horanski crossed home plate three times.

Preston Kokatailo, Bill Germaine, Greg Rodgers and Mitchell Robinson each drove in a pair of runs.

Langley also swept a pair of weekend doubleheaders: 8-6 and 7-4 over the Victoria Eagles and 3-2 and 10-0 over the Vancouver Cannons.

The Blaze host the last-place Whalley Chiefs (1-10) tonight (Thursday) at McLeod Park.First pitch is at 6:30 p.m.
