A strong regular season carried over into the playoffs as the Langley Fury came away with top spot.

The Langley FC U12 girls Gold Soccer squad scored a 2-0 victory over the Coquitlam Metro Ford Spitfires in the gold medal game of the B.C. Coastal Girls Soccer League.

The game was played at Burnaby Heights Park on March 4.

The Fury advanced to the final after scoring twice in overtime, defeating the Vancouver Super Foamy Cappuccinos 4-2 the day before.

“The girls had a great season,” said Fury coach Rich Pasqua.

“They worked hard all year and were a very dedicated bunch and it paid off for them in the end.

“We are real proud of this group.”

The Fury finished second in league play at 23-6-1, only conceding 28 goals in the 30 games while finding the back of the net 103 times.
