Rain stopped the Fraser Valley Fusion on Saturday and Thunder got the best of them on the Sunday.
The Fusion 2003A girls softball team was across the border over the weekend in Marysville, Wash. competing at the Patriots Invite.
And after rain cancelled the first day of action for teams, the Fusion played five games on the Sunday.
The team won the first four games to advance to the championship final but lost 9-1 to the Oregon Thunder in the championship game.
They beat the Blaze Blue Fire 10-6 in the quarter-finals and doubled the Skagit Bats 4-2 in the semifinals.
And in round-robin play, the Fusion won their two games in convincing fashion, blanking the Sno Co Express 8-0 and silencing the East Valley Thunder 16-1.
