Golfers tee off in memory of late Langley teen

Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour hosts Dylan Reichelt Memorial at Hazelmere Golf Course

Playing in a tournament named in honour of his late twin brother, Langley’s Jesse Reichelt finished tied for fourth at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s Dylan Reichelt Memorial.

The event was held at Hazelmere Golf Course on Aug. 13 and 14.

Dylan Reichelt passed away in November following a car crash and the tournament was named in his honour.

Jesse Reichelt (Hazelmere) shot 75-80 155 to finish in a tie for fourth in the boys’ 17-18 division.

Jae Wook Lee won the boys’ 13 and under division at the event after firing rounds of 67 and 70. The Redwoods golfer shot a 137 and was nine shots ahead of second place.

Jamie Oleksiew (Hazelmere) won the girls division by four shots after shooting 75 in both rounds to finish with a 150.

Tyler Roope (Hazelmere) was tied for sixth with a 157.

In the boys’ 14-16 division, James Kim (Redwoods) was fourth with a 152 while Jackson Trozzo (Redwoods) was tied for sixth in the boys’ 13 and under category.
