Homerun, 5 RBIs for Foerster as Blaze hammer Bulldogs

Fourth straight victory for Langley senior men's baseball team

Shane Kraemer threw a complete game one-hitter with 11 strikeouts while Bob Foerster drove in five runs, including a two-run home run as the Langley Senior Blaze hammered the Burnaby Collegiate Bulldogs 11-0.

The Pacific International League game was played on Wednesday night (June 11) at Robert Burnaby Park.

The Blaze improved to 1-2 in league play while the Bulldogs fell to 3-4.

Mason Cratty also drove in a pair of runs while Bobby Wagner, Clayton Howell and Jesse Peters all had one RBI apiece.

Langley is scheduled to face the Coquitlam Angels on July 12 at Coquitlam’s Mundy Park in Pacific Metro Baseball League play. Langley is 3-0 in the PMBL while Coquitlam is 0-1.

The Blaze also host a doubleheader on June 14 against Kelowna.

Games are at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
