An impressive weekend has earned Brandon Anderson accolades.

Anderson, a 24-year-old from Langley, was named the ECHL goaltender of the week for Jan. 9 to 15 after posting a pair of shutouts for the Norfolk Admirals.

He made 17 saves in a 5-0 win over the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Jan. 13 and followed that up with a 27-save performance in a 3-0 win over the Swamp Rabbits on Jan. 14.

Anderson also had a shutout in his previous game, stopping 30 shots to help defeat the Elmira Jackals 3-0 on Jan. 7.

His shutout streak of 269:36 came to an end on Monday in a 3-1 win over the Atlanta Gladiators and he has allowed two goals or less in all six games he has played this month.

The scoreless stretch is the second longest in league history.

Anderson is 8-1-0-0 with three shutouts in 10 games this season with the Admirals.

In 85 career ECHL games, he is 47-27-6 with 10 shutouts, a 2.73 goals against average and a .901 save percentage.

Prior to turning pro, Anderson played in the Western Hockey League with Brandon and Lethbridge.
