Junior girls golf champ to be decided at Belmont

Langley golf course set to host championships this July

A championship tournament will be teeing off in Langley this summer.

Belmont Golf Course has been tabbed the home of British Columbia Golf’s junior girls’ championship.

The tournament will be contested from July 2 to 5.

It is open to any female golfer 18 and younger.

Belmont Golf Course was one of 15 sites announced as a host as British Columbia Golf released its entire 2013 championship series schedule.

“We are extremely excited for the upcoming 2013 championship series,” said Susan White, the senior manager of field operations with British Columbia Golf.

“I feel our selection of venues provides a great cross-section of the province.”

Registration for the various tournaments opens on April 1.

-Junior Girls’ (July 2-5, 2013)- Belmont GC, Langley

-Junior Boys’ (July 2-5, 2013)- Revelstoke GC, Revelstoke

-111th BC Amateur (July 9-12, 2013)- Springs at Radium & Copper Point GC, Radium Hot Springs &  Windermere

-Senior Men’s Amateur (July 29-31, 2013)- Eaglepoint GR, Kamloops
