Connor Abrams and the Langley Junior Thunder played the visiting Nanaimo Junior Timbermen to a 10-10 tie on June 7 at the Langley Events Centre. The Thunder also won their previous game, 15-14 over the Delta Islanders to stop a five-game losing streak.

After a five-game losing streak, the Langley Junior Thunder are unbeaten in two.

The Thunder edged the Delta Islanders 15-14 last week (June 4) and then played the Nanaimo Junior Timbermen to a 10-10 draw on Sunday (June 7). Both games were at the Langley Events Centre and improve the Thunder to 3-8-2.

Langley trailed 12-7 late in the second period before scoring eight of the final 10 goals, including the winner from Andrew Gresham with 68 seconds to play.

It was his second goal and capped off an eight-point game for Gresham.

James Rahe (three goals, two assists) and Bryce Brochu (three goals, one assist) each had a hat trick while Thomas Moffatt (one goal, four assists), Dylan Lacroix (one goal, two assists) and Alex Gibbs (two goals) had multi-point games.

Jake Sundar made 38 saves for the victory.

Against Nanaimo, the Thunder were up 5-2 early in the second period and never trailed in the contest but could not pick up the second point.

Each team scored once in the 10-minute overtime period.

Brochu, Rahe and Lacroix each scored twice while Blaine Boomer, Brodie Porter, Pearson Willis and Cam Campbell had one goal apiece. Moffatt set up four goals.

The Thunder host New Westminster on June 11 at the LEC.
