The Langley Junior Thunder offence snapped a four-game losing streak in style, pumping home a season-high 15 goals.

The Thunder were in Nanaimo on Saturday to face the Junior Timbermen. Langley led 6-3 after 20 minutes before exploding for seven goals in the middle frame to put the game out of reach, winning 15-7.

The win improved Langley to 8-7-0 in BC Junior A Lacrosse League action.

Ryan Martel led the offence with five goals and eight points while Nathaniel Kozevnikov (three goals) and Dawson Rodin (two goals, two assists) also had multi-goal games.

Hudson Shelvey, Ross Pridemore and Nathan Mckeigan had a goal and an assist apiece.

Matt Brunsch and Quinn McKitrick had the other goals for the Thunder while Mitch McDole chipped in with three helpers and Max Joseph had one assist.

Jake Sundar stopped 32 of the 39 shots he faced.

The Thunder were coming off their fourth-straight defeat, a 9-5 loss to the Port Coquitlam Saints.

Langley will look to make it two wins in a row when they host the Coquitlam Junior Adanacs on June 22 at the Langley Events Centre. The Adanacs lead the league with a 14-1 record.
