Credo Christian Kodiaks’ players Dawson Sikma and Stephen Klein celebrate a goal against the Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers on Monday at Cloverdale Athletic Park. The jubilation was short-lived however, as the Kodiaks fell 2-1 in the Fraser Valley Grade 8/9 boys quarter-final game.

The Credo Christian Kodiaks and Brookswood Bobcats both saw their season's come to an end in the quarter-finals.

The two Langley schools had advanced in the round of 16 at the Fraser Valley 8/9 boys soccer championships.

Credo — the 12th seed — upset No. 5 Princess Margaret 3-2 while No. 6 Brookswood hammered No. 11 Guildford Park 5-1. Both those games were on Nov. 2 and advanced the two teams to the quarter-final round.

The Kodiaks fell 2-1 to No. 5 Lord Tweedsmuir while the Bobcats lost by that same score to No. 3 Eugene Reimer. Those games were on Nov. 9.
