Kodiaks chasing top spot

Aldergrove junior B hockey club one point back with three games left in pursuit of first place

Heading into the last week of the regular season, the Aldergrove Kodiaks sit one point back of the Abbotsford Pilots for first place in the division.

The Kodiaks managed just a singe point in two games, losing 8-5 to Abbotsford on Friday and then 4-3 in overtime to North Vancouver on Saturday.

The Pilots have two games left while Aldergrove has three to go in the junior B PIJHL regular season.

Against North Vancouver, Samuel Ramsay, Spencer McHaffie and Brandon Potomak found the back of the net. Potomak’s goal was huge as it came with four minutes to go and earned the Kodiaks a single point.

Aldergrove wraps up the regular season with home games on Monday (Feb. 20) against North Vancouver and Port Moody on Wednesday (Feb. 22). They close on the road on Feb. 25 against North Delta.
