Kodiaks win streak reaches double digits

Aldergrove wins 10th straight game after hammering North Delta Devils 7-2

The North Delta Devils scored first and last but the Aldergrove Kodiaks scored seven times in between as the junior B hockey club's winning streak reached double digits with a 7-2 victory.

The teams played on Wednesday (Dec. 11) at the Aldergrove Arena and the Kodiaks have won 10 straight and are unbeaten in 16 (14-0-0-2).

It gives them a 10-point cushion over the Abbotsford Pilots for top spot in the PJHL's Harold Brittain Conference and a three point-lead over the Delta Ice Hawks for the league lead.

Aldergrove improved to 20-4-0-2 on the season.

Kenny Prato (two goals, one assist), Stephen Ryan (one goal, two assists) and Adam Callegari (one goal, two assists) led the way with three points apiece.

Jonathan Philley, Jacob Dunlap and Spencer McHaffie had the other other goals and Robert Jang chipped in with a pair of assists.

Tate Sproxton made 33 saves for the victory with only North Delta's Tristan Craighead and Joshua Trisevic able to slip the puck past him.

The Kodiaks are back in action on Dec. 14 as they visit the last-place Port Moody Panthers at the Port Moody Arena.
