Langley athletes medal at B.C. track and field championships

Local high school track and field athletes earned plenty of hardware.

Langley athletes came home with loads of hardware from the B.C. high school track and field championships in Nanaimo.

In the junior men’s 1500m steeplechase event, it was an R.E. Mountain sweep with Zach Wyatt, Jordan Schmidt, and Tate Wyatt taking the top three spots.

Local gold medal winners included Dean Ellenwood and Kevin Hughes (Langley Secondary), Brooke Mussche (Langley Christian), Jaclyn Pauley (Brookswood Secondary), Ethan Foster (D.W. Poppy Secondary), Kiana Bekar (Langley Christian), and Zach Wyatt and Jordan Schmidt (R.E. Mountain Secondary).
