Langley duo selected for elite soccer program

Two Langley teenagers have been invited to join a prestigious youth soccer program.

Reese Moffatt (2000 birth year) and Mikayla Tupper (2003) are among the 36 girls named to the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite BC Super REX (Regional Excel Centre) program.

Both are from the Surrey United Soccer Club. The program is in partnership with BC Soccer and Canada Soccer and will welcome top female soccer prospects from across Canada to attend school, train and play together in Burnaby.

It is the first female regional training centre in western Canada.

It is by invitation only and is done in conjunction with Canada Soccer National EXCEL staff.

The players are in the U13 to U18 age groups.

Moffatt is currently in Winnipeg, representing Team BC at the Canada Summer Games.
