Langley golfer Sueah Park named to GNAC First Team

Rookie Park has been a formidable golfer for SFU Red Leafs, averaging 76.8 with a low round of 72.

Langley’s Sueah Park earned First Team All-GNAC honors at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference golf championships in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on May 4, along with Simon Fraser University Red Leafs teammates Meera Minhas, Izzy Ferguson, and Shirin Anjarwalla.

The rookie Park has been a formidable golfer for SFU since her first tournament, averaging 76.8 strokes per round with a low round of 72.

Simon Fraser was leading all programs with six total All-GNAC honorees, including four First-Team selections.

Park and the SFU team wrapped up the season with a 12th-place finish at the NCAA Women’s Golf West regional event in Dallas, Texas on May 9.

Red Leafs – the 2023 GNAC champions – finished with a three-round score of 96-over-par 936 as the lone team representative from the conference.

Park carded back-to-back rounds of 82 Tuesday to finish 65th with a result of 41-over 251. She posted a pair of birdies and 22 pars at the event.
