A pair of Langley golfers won their respective divisions over the weekend as the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour made a stop at the Chilliwack Golf Club.

Fourteen-year-old Emma Yang shots rounds of 78 and 74 to win by eight strokes in the girls’ U15 division, her first victory of the season.

She credited her putting and short game for the victory.

And in the 17/18 junior boys division, it was 17-year-old Andy Kim not only winning the division but also claiming the prize for best second-day improvement.

Kim shot a 76 on day one but bettered that by five strokes with a 71 to win by one stroke.

He bested Willis (Jung Hwan) Lee, who finished tied for second in that division with two-day total of 154.

And another Langley golfer, Andy Jang, was third in the juvenile boys division with rounds of 72 and 76.

The MJT tour stops in Langley this weekend for the two-day Lindsay Kenney Classic/IMG Academy Junior World Qualifier at Pagoda Ridge on May 6 and 7.
