Local youth soccer players got the chance to learn some skills from some of the best as part of the Kickin' with the ’Caps Community Clinic at Willoughby Community Park last week (April 1).

Two hundred and sixty Langley kids between the ages of seven and 10 took part in the clinic, which was conducted by former Vancouver Whitecaps FC player — and Canadian Soccer Hall of Famer — Sam Lenarduzzi, as well as a handful of current Whitecaps players.

The clinics are free to all participants, but donations are accepted with the proceeds going to the ’Caps community partner, Camp Goodtimes, a unique summer camp for children and teens affected by cancer.

The clinic will be back at Willoughby Community Park on June 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. To register, click here.
