A largely rookie team — they have 16 first-year atom players and just two second-year players — is riding high.

The Langley atom C4 King Cobras, who are competing at this week’s Langley Cup competition, continue to pile up the banners.

The team’s most recent victory was last week (March 17-20) as they took top spot at the Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association tournament at Planet Ice.

Langley went a perfect 5-0 and won by a combined score of 25-7.

The King Cobras also won both their Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association Fraser Valley West league banner and playoff banner and are currently competing at the Langley Cup tournament, which wraps up on Sunday with the championship final.

Langley has accumulated a record of 33-4-2 on the season.
