Langley Olympians dive into Sizzlin’ Summer Open Meet

Outdoor long course attracted 350 swimmers from 28 swim clubs from Canada and the United States.

Six Langley Olympians Swimmers dove into the Sizzlin’ Summer Open Meet that ran from July 13 to July 15 at Moses Lake in Washington State.

The Moses Invitational is an outdoor long course swim meet that brought together over 350 swimmers from 28 swim clubs from Canada and the United States.

Macey Larson (10) placed in all ten events this weekend and swam 100% best times in all of her events. Macey placed second in the Women’s 9-10 200m Individual Medley with a best time of 3:05.91 and again the Women’s 9-10 200m Freestyle with a best time of 2:46.75, the Women’s 9-10 100m Breaststroke with a best time of 1:31.02, the Women’s 9-10 50m Backstroke with a best time of 43.11, the Women’s 9-10 50m Freestyle with a best time of 39.53, the Women’s 9-10 100m Backstroke with a best time of 1:30.36, the Women’s 9-10 50m Breaststroke with a best time of 43.19 and the Women’s 9-10 100m Freestyle with a best time of 1:18.37. She also placed third in the Women’s 9-10 100m Butterfly with a best time of 43.11 as well as the Women’s 9-10 50m Butterfly with best time of 39.53.

Riley Lane (14) placed second in the Women’s 13-14 200m Breaststroke with a best time of 3:14.38 and placed third in the Women’s 13-14 100m Breaststroke with a best time of 1:27.63. Riley placed fifth in the Women’s 13-14 400m Freestyle with a best time of 5:10.26, sixth in the Women’s 13-14 400m Individual Medley with a best time of 6:08.67 and in the Women’s 13-14 200m Butterfly with a best time of 3:27.13. She also placed eighth in the Women’s 13-14 50m Freestyle with a best time of 32.28.

Severen Parr (14) placed third in the Women’s 13-14 400m Individual Medley with a time of 5:54.54 and fourth in the Women’s 13-14 200m Butterfly with a time of 2:56.94. Severen placed sixth in the Women’s 13-14 200m Individual Medley with a time of 2:51.12 as well as the Women’s 13-14 200m Breaststroke with a time of 3:23.11. She also placed seventh in the Women’s 13-14 100m Butterfly with a time of 1:20.25 and eighth in the Women’s 13-14 100m Breaststroke with a time of 1:35.17.

Samantha Burwell (11) swam 100% best times in all her events this weekend.
