Four Langley athletes have been chosen to represent B.C. at next month’s Canadian Legion track and field championships.

Kiana Bekar (triple jump), Tanika Dolfo (hammer throw), Dean Ellenwood and Alex Savage (long jump) were named to the team by B.C. Athletics last week (July 17).

They will compete in the youth (16/17) division at the championships, which run Aug. 5 to 11 in Saint Therese, QC.

Twenty-five athletes were named to the youth team while another 15 will represent the province at the midget (15 and under) level at the meet.

Dolfo, Ellenwood and Savage train with the Langley Mustangs Track and Field Club while Bekar is with the B.C. Flyers Athletic Club.
