Langley Rivermen alum impressing with Dartmouth

Thrust into the starting role at Dartmouth College, former Langley Rivermen goalie James Kruger has shown he’s up to the challenge.

The Minnetonka, Minnesota product won both his starts last weekend including a 23-save shutout of top-ranked Boston University.

The other victory was a 3-2 decision over American International College where he made 15 stops.

The Big Green, who play in the Eastern College Athletic Conference, are now 4-3-1 on the season with Kruger handling all the crease work. The 6’3” 205-pound net minder also carries a .930 save percentage, a 1.85 goals-against average and two shutouts.

As a member of the Rivermen in their inaugural season in 2011/12, Kruger posted a 10-22 mark with a 3.91 goals-against average and a .894 save percentage.
