Langley runners test their stamina in Sun Run

Runners from their teens to retirement aged took part in the annual race.

Several Langley runners finished in the Top 10 of their age or running cateoriges in the Vancouver Sun Run on Sunday, April 23.

In the men’s elite category, Caleb De Jong of Langley finished in 30:38, putting him in the top spot of local runners.

Lisa Brookings came in fifth at 35:14 for her category, women 25-29. Helena Meier, just 10 years old, ran the course in 47:04, securing her a 10th place finish in women under 16.

Last but far from least, Langley’s Patricia Francis finished 10th in her category, of women aged 75-79, with a time of 1:14:34.

Langley’s teenaged male runners did well, with Tate and Zachary Wyatt takng secon and third place, respectively, in the male 16-18 category, at 33:59 and 36:12.

Mike Cater ran the course in 45 minutes, good for 10th spot in the male 60-64 category.
