Bob Boyd-Whitely, former president of the Langley United Youth Soccer Association, has died.
Boyd-Whitely was a longtime soccer administrator and coach in Langley. He suffered a heart attack in the middle of November.
As well as organizing events, Boyd-Whitely played oldtimers soccer for First Capital’s over-60s team in Langley.
Before his retirement, he worked as a speech language pathologist for the Langley School District.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. at Kwomais Point Park in South Surrey.
