Langley swimmers pick up Canada Games medals

Two Langley swimmers brought back gold from the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg as part of Team B.C.

Bailey Herbert, 14, won two golds in the 400m and 200m individual medley events. In the 200m event, Herbert broke a five-year-old B.C. record with her time of 2:18.27.

She also won a silver in the women’s 200m breaststroke with a personal best time, and was part of a team that took bronze in the 4x100 metre medley.

Joshua Kim, 15, took a gold medal on his first day with the men’s 4x200 metre freestyle relay, and two silvers, one with the mens’ 400m free relay and the 200m medley relay. He took bronze in the mens’ 4x50m free relay.
