Langley swimmers score big at UBC swim meet

LOSC records multiple firsts at Jessica Deglau invitational

A trip to Vancouver and the Jessica Deglau invitational swim meet resulted in several first-place finishes for members of the Langley Olympians Swim Club (LOSC).

Held at the UBC Aquatic Centre on April 27th and 28th, the event drew 326 swimmers, 27 of them from the Langley-based club.

LOSC competitor Katelyn Schroeder (13 years, 12-13 category) placed first in three events over the weekend: Schroeder won the 200 metre individual medley with a best time of 2:32.09, the 200 metre backstroke with a time of 1:08.13 and the 400 metre individual medley with a time of 5:39.01.

Dylan Thomas (15 years, 15 and over category) placed first in the 200 metre individual medley with a best time of 2:19.43, the 400 metre medley with a best time of 4:58.69 and in the 200 metre breaststroke with a time of 2:35.49.

Macey Larson (11 years, 11 and under category) placed first in the 200 metre butterfly with a best time of 3:12.12 and in the 200 metre breaststroke with a best time of 3:02.54.

Piyush Kaul (13 years, 13-14 category) won the 100 metre backstroke with a best time of 1:06.28.

Aiden Erickson (14 years, 13-14 category) placed first in the 200 metre butterfly with a best time of 2:28.78.

Emily Manley (16 years, 14 and over category) placed first in the 200 metre freestyle with a time of 2:19.37.

Ayush Kaul (16 years, 15 and over category) placed first in the 200 metre butterfly .

Sienna Harder (12 years, 12-13 category) placed first in the 100 metre breaststroke.
