Langley's senior A lacrosse team has won two of its past three games, but it’s too little, too late for the 3-12 squad.

It’s been a tough season for the Langley Thunder who go into Wednesday’s home game against Victoria at the Langley Events Centre with a 3-12 record.

However, the Thunder – who occupy the Western Lacrosse Association cellar – have won two of their past three games.

Their last outing was a 10-8 win over the Coquitlam at the LEC on July 20.

Cole Shafer and James Rahe share the team lead with 36 points apiece, with Mitch McMichael close behind with 35 points.

The Thunder have three games to go in their campaign, with their final game of the WLA season at home next Wednesday, Aug. 3 against the Maple Ridge Burrards at the LEC. Game time is 7:45 p.m.

And this Thursday, the Thunder travel to New Westminster to take on the WLA-leading Salmonbellies at Queen’s Park Arena. That game starts at 7:45 p.m.
