Langley trio honoured at Canoe Kayak BC's annual awards reception

Landon McQuarrie was named a recipient of a sprint development award.

McQuarrie,who competes with the Fort Langley Canoe Club, was a winner in the U14 male canoe category.

The winners were announced Nov. 11 at Canoe Kayak BC’s annual awards reception honour in Burnaby.

The organization honoured 85 individuals with medals, plaques, scholarships and recognition for their hard work over the past season.

Fort Langley Canoe Club’s Francis Cheung and Kelley Fripps-Cheung were recognized for their work as sprint officials. And the Fort Langley Canoe Club was also recognized for their work in hosting the canoe and kayak events at the BC Summer Games in July.
