Langley well represented at BC Hockey camps

Nine young teens are in Penticton this weekend for Team BC’s U15 provincial camp while three more will head to Cowichan Lake next week for the female U18 invitational selection camp.

Goaltenders Cole Savage and Keegan Maddocks, defenceman Elias Carmichael, Cale Strasky and Alex Serraglio, and forwards Chase Sandhu, Ty Gagno, Liam Bressette and Aidan Roy are in Penticton for the camp, which runs May 11 to 14.

There are 160 players invited and from this list, a select group will be chosen to attend the provincial camp in July.

And while those nine are looking to make a mark this weekend, three teenage Langley girls are among the invitees for next week’s camp. It runs May 17 to 21.

Danika Pasqua, Halle Berwick and Jessica Douglas are among the 106 invitees to the camp.

All three play the forward position.

The players were selected based on their performance this past season with their club teams and from this camp, some will be chosen attend the U18 provincial camp in July.
