After posting his best statistical season in 2011/12, Langley Rivermen power forward Darnell Dyck has landed a scholarship.

Dyck has accepted a scholarship to Lindenwood University Lions in St. Charles, Missouri.

Last year, Dyck had 19 goals and 46 assists in 60 games for Langley. Both his assists and 65 points led the junior A hockey team.

“He provided good stability up front for us last season and was one of the premier set up wingers in the league and turned out to be a point-per-game player in the end,” said Rivermen coach Bobby Henderson.

He finished his BCHL career — which had stops in Surrey and Trail — with 56 goals and 171 points in 252 games.
