Light up, Langley

The approach of Christmas means the Langley Advance will once again be publishing its list of noteworthy light displays.

Send in your details or tell about a neighbour’s great holiday display.

Some folks have already been busy getting ready, like the Farrell family in Walnut Grove.

Their display called Come Listen To The Lights! is at 9241 213th St.

The Christmas Light Show is synchronized to music. When near the site, tune the radio to 107.7 FM.

The computer controlled show has over 15,000 lights, four leaping arches, a 22-foot tall mega tree with a 3D star and, new this year, four animated singing Christmas trees.

“The lights are exclusively low-power LEDs and the entire show runs off of one standard household outlet,” Lance Farrell said. “The show is controlled by a salvaged desktop computer running Light-O-Rama software controlling eleven specialized controllers.”

The show runs Dec. 1 until Jan. 5th. The lights are on 4-10 p.m. on Sundays to Thursdays and 4-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays

On Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, the show will run from noon until 11 p.m.

Submit details of light displays, including address, times when the lights will be turned on and any other pertinent information to
