Men’s rec hockey league announced at Langley Sportsplex

A new men’s ice hockey league is coming to Langley.

League commissioner Brian Brown announced recently in the foyer of Langley Sportsplex that the Langley Men’s Ice Hockey League will start its inaugural season this September at the Langley Sportsplex.

The league could include 34 teams and will start 2016-17 with 16 teams in its Pacific Conference and 18 in its Fraser Conference.

The league is for adult ice hockey players and has age groups as 19-plus, 30-plus,  35-plus and 50-plus.

“The Langley Men’s Ice Hockey League has announced its 34 teams for the 2016-17 inaugural season” Brown said.

All new teams were approved in a vote conducted during the league’s annual general meeting on June 21 and were ratified by all league executives.
