The Langley Mustangs had the last laugh.
The bantam football team avenged a regular season loss to the Cowichan Valley Bulldogs by pulling off an upset 36-31 victory in the Vancouver Mainland Football League semifinals over the weekend in Cowichan.
The Bulldogs had gone 10-0 during the regular season to finish second while Langley was 5-5 to place seventh.
But two late touchdown passes from quarterback Stephen Legare to Joseph Carter helped the Mustangs pull off the upset.
The Mustangs face the North Surrey Tigers in the championship game on Saturday (Nov. 26).
