Four goals in the first period was more than enough as the Aldergrove Kodiaks crushed the Port Moody Panthers 7-1.
The Aldergrove Kodiaks put the game away early as they dominated the opening frame, scoring four times n 24 shots, while their opponents managed just three shots on goal in the period.
The end result was a 7-1 victory over the visiting Port Moody Panthers on Sept. 24 at Aldergrove Arena in junior B hockey action.
Cameron Davitt led the way with a pair of goals — including one on a penalty shot — as Aldergrove improved to 2-1-1-1 and a share of top spot in the PJHL's Harold Brittain Conference.
The Panthers are winless at 0-3-0-1.
Eric Callegari and Jordan Funk had a goal and an assist apiece while Brandon Dolby, Aaron Markin and Nolan Wallinger scored once each.
Evan Cusmano chipped in with a pair of assists.
Griffin Baillie had a relatively light night, facing just 19 shots and making 18 saves for the win.
The lone puck to elude him came off the stick of Port Moody's Derian White early in the third period.
Aldergrove next plays Sept. 30 when they face the Delta Ice Hawks (3-2-0-0) at the Ladner Leisure Centre.
