It was the Johnny Pearson show on Sunday as the Langley Junior Thunder snapped a two-game losing streak with a resounding 11-4 victory over the Nanaimo Junior Timbermen.

Pearson scored six times and set up one other goal in the victory over the visiting Timbermen at the Langley Events Centre on Sunday in junior A lacrosse action.

James Rahe and Brett Dobray both had a goal and three assists while Adam Will and Brandon Bull both scored once and set up another. Brendan Kidd had the other goal.

Connar Abrams had a big game as well, registering four assists.

The Thunder were up 3-0 after the first period and then struck for six goals in the second, while only allowing one. The third period saw Langley score twice while Nanaimo potted three.

Goaltender Spencer England made 18 saves for the win.

The win improved Langley to 7-4 and tied for fourth place in the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League.

The Thunder are back in action on June 13 when they host New Westminster at the LEC. Game time is 8 p.m.
