Perrin off to China with Team Canada

Trinity Western's Alicia Perrin has been selected to play for Canada at the upcoming Summer Universaide in China.

After a standout rookie year, Alicia Perrin has been selected to play for Canada in next month’s FISU World University Games (Summer Universaide).

Perrin averaged 1.26 blocks per set, second in the conference, and had a team-leading attacking percentage of 25.0 per cent for the Trinity Western Spartans women’s volleyball team.

The middle blocker was one of the 12 players named by Volleyball Canada on Tuesday for the World University Games, which run Aug. 14-21 in Shenzen, China.

Perrin, the Canada West rookie of the year, was also named to the Canadian Interuniversity Sport all-rookie team and helped the Spartans win bronze at nationals.
