For the third straight year, the Fraser Valley Phantoms are the league champions.
The Phantoms, who are made up of players from around the Lower Mainland, captured the B.C. Female Midget AAA title over the Thompson Okanagan Rockets.
The teams were playing a best-of-three series at Langley Sportsplex with the Phantoms winning 2-0 on Friday and 1-0 on Saturday.
Langley’s Chelsea Wilson opened the scoring in game one while Kaely McMurty (Port Coquitlam) had the second goal.
Game two’s lone goal was a power-play tally from Kirsten Martin (Rosedale).
Goaltender Valencia Yordanov pitched shutouts in both games.
The Phantoms, who were 22-1-7 during the regular season, advance to the 2014 Esso Cup to crown the national championship.
The tournament will be held in Stoney Creek, Ont. from April 20 to 23.
