Rain can't slow Special athletes

Competitors braved the torrential downpour during a regional bocce qualifier in Langley for the Special Olympics BC Provincial Games

Langley’s Adam Shatz was one of the 68 competitors from around the Lower Mainland who braved the rain and took part in the Special Olympics regional bocce qualifier on Saturday at Willoughby Community Park. Seventeen teams from Surrey, Coquitlam, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Ridge Meadow and Langley competed, with four of those teams from Langley. The athletes were attempting to qualify for the 2017 Special Olympics BC Provincial Games.
