Langley Thunder's Pat Saunders (#14) is leading the WLA in scoring with 22 points through the first five games. The team is on a two-game losing streak however, as they dropped a 9-7 decision to Maple Ridge in their most recent game, despite a five-point night from Saunders.

Tied at four in the second period, the Langley Thunder surrendered 12 of the final 14 goals to lose 16-6, the senior A lacrosse team's third straight defeat.

The Thunder were hosting the Victoria Shamrocks on June 10 at the Langley Events Centre and it was the team's second straight poor third period which did them in. The night before, Langley was up 5-4 after 40 minutes but lost 9-7 to the Maple Ridge Burrards at Maple Ridge's Planet Ice.

Against the Shamrocks, Langley was led by Pat Saunders two goals and two assists — he leads the WLA with 13 goals and 26 points — while Athan Iannucci (two goals, two assists) and Alex Turner (four assists) also had four-point nights.

Jakob Doucet and Jacob Ruest had a goal apiece.

The Thunder (2-4) next face the Burnaby Lakers on June 17 at the LEC.
