Kyle Ross continues his impressive start to the season.

The left-handed pitcher tossed his third-straight complete game shutout, improving to 3-0 as the Langley Blaze hammered the Vancouver Cannons 11-0 on May 1 at McLeod Park.

The win was the 13th straight for the U18 baseball team since they opened the B.C. Premier Baseball League season with a loss.

Ross has struck out 28 batters in 19 innings this season.

The game was shortened to five innings as the Blaze scored four in the first and fourth innings, two in the second and one in the third.

Leading the offence was Andre Pelletier, who belted a solo home run and finished with three RBIs. Connor Chorpita and Hayden Jaco each had a pair of RBIs and Dakota Curry, Mitchell Robinson and Liam Wyatt drove in one run apiece.

Langley is scheduled for a busy weekend with a pair of home doubleheaders at McLeod Park.

The Nanaimo Pirates (4-7) will be in town on Saturday (May 3) with the first game at 1 p.m. while the Parksville Royals (3-4) are coming on Sunday (May 4). First pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m.
