Soccer girls take home Seattle Cup

Two local girls soccer teams returned victorious from a recent tournament in Washington State.

The U11 Preston GM Langley FC and the U13 Fraser Valley Premier Intake both won the Seattle Cup in their divisions over the July 8-10 weekend.

Both teams were rock solid with decisive victories in the finals.

The U11 girls won 3-0, while the U13 team managed 4-0.

The U11 team was Taylor Millar, Keeley Read, Keira Blundell, Abigail Dodd, Engelie Lara-Faure, Megan Sumners, Katie Laidlaw, Alexa Wenman, Bella Sullivan, Madden Dewit, Madison Pinch, with coach Steve Millar and assistant coach Mark Blundell.

The Premier Intake is Mika Hine, Serena Madray, Ella McLean, Sahar Kanbari, Emma Pascoe, Madison McGill, Gurleen Mahli, Tejana Brar, Kayla Chanteloup, Gaia Rees, Gurleen Singh, Hasanpreet Dhaliwal, Sara Fox, Mackenzie Wiggins, Lainey Shelvey, Sarah Belcher and coach Jason Bermudez.
