Tyler Koslowsky and the Trinity Western Spartans got back on track with a pair of weekend wins over the Regina Cougars at the Langley Events Centre.

The Trinity Western Spartans men's volleyball team returned to the win column with a pair of straight sets victories over the Regina Cougars at the Langley Events Centre to improve to 5-3.

The 10th-ranked Spartans won 3-0 (25-21,25-20,25-22) Friday and 3-0 (25-19,25-23,25-18).

"We had two really good weeks of prep to try and clean up some of the deficiencies, but what you saw as the weekend went on was that our bad habits crept in more and more," said coach Ben Josephson. "But that just goes to show you that you can't solve problems with a couple weeks of hard training. It's going to be a long process, but with that being said, I thought we made some great strides forward towards the type of team we need to be."

Ryan Sclater had a dozen kills in Saturday's match while Blake Scheerhoorn and Aaron Boettcher had seven kills apiece and Devyn Plett had 28 assists on Friday.
