The Langley Junior Thunder were in action over the weekend,  splitting a pair of matches.

The junior A lacrosse team beat the Port Coquitlam Saints 11-6 on Friday before losing 16-12 to the Victoria Junior Shamrocks on Saturday.

The results leave Langley with a 5-12-1 recored and tied for fifth place in the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League.

Both games were played on the road, Friday at Poco Arena and the next day at the Q Centre.

In the first, Bryce Brochu led the way with two goals and six points while James Rahe had a hat trick and one assist.

Riley Glemnitz and Brendan Mykle-Winkler had a goal and two assists each.

The second game saw a big effort from Rahe go for naught as the Langley captain had eight goals and 11 points.

He sits second in league scoring with 37 goals and 74 points in 16 games.

Duston Doudlet (two goals, one assist) and Bryce Brochu (one goal, two assists) and Glemnitz (one goal, one assist) also found the scoresheet.
