The National Lacrosse League playoffs will be here for the first time since the Vancouver Stealth made Langley its home base.

The Stealth host the Colorado Mammoth (9-9/0-0) in the West Division Semifinal game, on Saturday.

“Lacrosse fans in Vancouver have been waiting four years for this game, the Langley Events Centre will be rocking Saturday night,” said Stealth play-by-play commentator Jake Elliott.

Lots of people will be watching player Corey Small.

Heading into the final game of the 2017 regular season Small needed seven points to tie the Stealth’s single season franchise record in points.

Small scored four goals and three assists for seven points including the game’s tying goal with less than 20 seconds remaining in the fourth and the game winning goal in overtime.

He now sits with Colin Doyle and teammate Rhys Duch as the highest producing players in a single season with 111 points.

“Corey Small has been a beast all year and he was huge last weekend. But I have a feeling that his best has yet to come,” Elliott said.

Small is confident heading into Saturday’s match that starts at 7 p.m.

“Over the past few weeks you can really feel the confidence growing throughout the team. We believe we can beat anyone right now and we seem to be peaking at the right time,” said Corey Small. “As a team that’s missed the playoffs the past few seasons, we are excited for this opportunity. Our success at home as of late coincides with the growing support of our fans and the lacrosse community in B.C. This will be a huge game for our franchise and our fans.”

After finding success against Colorado in Week 17, Vancouver is asking their fans to wear as much black Stealth gear to the game to #BlackOut the Mammoth.

Tickets are available at the LEC box office. People can also call it at 604-882-8800 or go to Ticket Rocket.co. or the first time ever, the Stealth will be offering general admission standing room only seats starting at $19.95.
