After surrendering the lead in the top half of the final inning, the Langley Blaze rallied with a run in their half to force extra innings and then won it in the ninth when Kristjan Storrie's RBI single scored Yi-Fan Pan from third base.

The Blaze defeated the Abbotsford Cardinals 7-6 in B.C. Premier U18 Baseball League action at McLeod Park on Tuesday (May 19).

Langley improved to 15-7 with the win as the team was coming off a weekend where they won just one of four games.

Parker Logan earned the win, pitching the final two innings.

Travis Leclair led the offence with a two-run double while Pan, Kurt Meeberg and Brendan Halstrom each had RBIs.

Langley now takes a break from league play, returning to action on June 6.

The team is co-hosting the annual Langley Blaze Invitational with Abbotsford. The tournament runs May 27 to 31 at McLeod Park and Abbotsford's Delair Park.
