The Langley Junior Blaze saw their 15-game win streak come to an end at the hands of the Abbotsford Junior Cardinals.

The Blaze dropped a 10-1 decision to the Cards on July 6 at Delair Park, allowing runs in five of the seven innings.

The lone Langley run came when Brockton Wickens got on base with a double and later scored on a balk on the Abbotsford pitcher.

Jacob McDermott was tagged with the loss, allowing six runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings.

Langley still leads the B.C. Junior U16 Premier Baseball League with a record of 25-6.

The team visits the White Rock Junior Tritons on July 13, has a doubleheader in Abbotsford on July 16 and then another twin bill on July 17 at South Surrey Athletic Park versus the Tritons.

The Tritons are in third place, six games back of Langley, while Abbotsford is in second place, just one game behind.
