The Langley Fundamental Titans will play for a provincial high school AA boys soccer title – and program history – late Wednesday morning.

The championship final pits the Fraser Valley champion Titans against Vancouver Island champion, St. Michaels University School. The gold medal game kicks off at 11:15 a.m. at Burnaby West Turf Field #3.

Defence has done it at the provincial tournament for the Titans, who have surrendered just one goal in four games (all wins) during the tourney that got underway Monday at Burnaby Lakes.

En route to the title game, the Titans shut out Nelson’s LV Rogers 1-0, defeated Kamloops’ Valleyview 4-1, and edged Campbell River’s Carihi 1-0 in pool play, before blanking Port Coquitlam’s Archbishop Carney 1-0 in the semifinals Tuesday afternoon.

Last week, the Titans captured the Fraser Valley title with a decisive 4-0 victory over the top-seeded North Delta Huskies in the championship game.
