Trafford strikes in OT as Thunder win Penticton tournament

Langley bantam B1 lacrosse team takes gold at minor lacrosse tournament

Matt Trafford’s overtime winner helped the Langley Thunder win gold over the weekend at the Penticton Barn Burner bantam B1 lacrosse tournament.

Trafford scored the winner as the Thunder edged North Okanagan 4-3 on Sunday.

North Okanagan had scored twice in the third period to force overtime.

Langley goaltender Adam Cafe earned player of the game honours.

Aidan Miller scored twice for the Thunder while Adam Hannesson had the other goal.

The victory wrapped up a 4-0 performance for the Thunder as they defeated New Westminster, Penticton and North Okanagan in the round robin portion of the tournament.
