The North Shore Twins got the better of the Langley Blaze for a second straight game, scoring another one-run decision.

The Twins edged the Blaze 4-3 on Tuesday night at Parkgate Park when Steve Moretto singled home Brandon Currie in the bottom of the seventh inning for the winning run.

It was the second straight game North Shore beat the Blaze by one run and the Twins improved to 23-7 , the best record in the B.C. U18 Premier Baseball League. Langley sits third, 2.5 games back, at 22-11.

Yi-An Pan had three hits for the Blaze, including an RBi triple, while Hayden Jaco had an RBI double and Kurt Meeberg had an RBI single.

Michael Stovman was tagged with the loss, allowing the winning run.

Langley will look to get back in the win column as they host the Abbotsford Cardinals on June 26 at McLeod Park. They also host the Parksville Royals in a doubleheader on Sunday.
