Two all-around titles part of haul for LGF athletes

Langley Gymnastics Foundation brings home plenty of hardware from season-opening meet

There were no early-season jitters for members of the Langley Gymnastics Foundation.

The club sent 30 gymnasts to a season-opening meet hosted by North Vancouver’s Flicka Gymnastics Club over the weekend with two LGF members winning a pair of all-around titles.

Sage Bishop-Beaurone and Alexa Slipec each returned with top spot in the JO category.

Bishop-Beaurone was also first on the vault, bars and beam while Slipec was first on the vault and bars.

Other LGF athletes to find the podium included:

Maddison Lavers (JO level 3)  third floor;

Alexis Baker (JO level 3) second vault;

Lynette Martini (JO level 3)  tied for third vault and floor, second bars;

Marley Gauthier (JO level 4) third bars, beam;

Lily Fraser (JO level 4)  first beam, third floor;

Laya Johnson (JO level 5)  second bars, tied for third floor, third all-around;

Madi Coombes (JO level 5)  third bars;

Haley (JO level 10)  first bars,  second beam, second all-around;

Cathy Zhong (JO level 10) third vault;

Emilie Hong (JO level 10)  first vault, floor;

Brooke (Novice) third bars;

Kennedy Duke (Novice) tied for second vault;

Emily Simao (JO level 7) third vault;

Jillian Principe (JO level 8) second beam, third bars;

Nicole Czerniakowski (JO level 8) second bars;

Grace Hernberg (JO level 8)  second vault, second all-around.
